Today’s topic: Older Friend With Deep Pockets Dear Steve, I have been friends with this guy who is forty years my senior. He says he is in love with me and that I remind him of his wife who passed away three years ago. Every time I spend time with him, he says I look like his wife and he wants me to get my hair cut short to resemble her even more. I told him that I would appreciate if he would stop talking to me about his wife. He buys me expensive gifts and has given me large amounts of money. Whenever he gets upset with me, he throws what he has done for me in my face and complains of me not being sexually active with him. I have explained to him that I have no sexual interest in him, I appreciate the gifts and financial help, but prefer not to take any of them if strings are attached. I told him if he doesn’t give from his heart, than I prefer not to accept anything from him. However, I do like him as a person, but Im not interested in making him my man. He is too old for me! How do I put him down without anyone getting hurt.
