Their wedding took place in the bride’s hometown of Chicago. For months, Sherri tweeted about how excited she was to wear her lovely custom designed Ravini wedding dress. Her 6-year-old son Jeffrey walked her down the aisle.
“I want [Lamar] to know that when my son walks me down the aisle, you’re not only getting me, but you’re getting this little boy,” the comedienne told People magazine.
The bride worked out for months in preparation for her wedding day. Bridesmaids Niecy Nash, “The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselback, and six other dear friends stood by her side wearing custom Carmen Marc Valvo dresses.
Sherri kept Twitter fans posted on her pre-wedding whereabouts up until moments before she headed to the altar, tweeting, “What happens when you are in your wedding dress and have to tinkle? Uh-oh!”
Newlyweds Niecy Nash and Jay Tucker originally introduced Sherry and Lamar, and it wound up being an instant love connection.
Fans will have a chance to see Sherri and Lamar’s big day on “Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married” which premieres Tuesday, September 13 at 9:00pm ET/PT on Style.
