Senator Kamala Harris took to Twitter on International Women’s Day to ask her followers to reflect on what the world would be like without trailblazing women.

From Harriet Tubman to Serena Williams, the California senator reflected on these women and their input in tweets throughout Wednesday.

“I ask everyone to look at the role of women in our society and realize what a day without women would actually mean,” she said.

Today is International Women’s Day and #ADayWithoutAWoman, a day to recognize how far women have to go to achieve full equality.
