After expressing his unhappiness with Marvel producers’ first offer
to reprise his very small role, actor Samuel L. Jackson has officially
joined the “Iron Man 2” cast, according to Variety.com. Jackson has signed a
long-term commitment to play Nick Fury, the leader of the espionage unit,
The Shield. The studio also offered Jackson an option to play the
character in nine future Marvel films. For now, we can look forward to
seeing Jackson in the sequel next summer.—JW
