TV host Sal Masekela will join NBC Olympics’ coverage in Sochi, Russia as a sports desk reporter, the network announced earlier this week.
Masekela, perhaps best known for hosting action sports shows like X Games and, most recently, NBC’s Red Bull Signature Series, will present a 30-minute wrap-up show called present The Olympic Zone covering all aspects of the winter games, beginning
“This has been a lifelong dream,” an elated Masekela tweeted.
The 2014 Winter Olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia from Feb 7-23.
Masekela is the son of celebrated jazz musician, Hugh Masekela.
