Sade Turns Down Collaboration with Jay-Z

Sade might sing about having a “Bullet Proof Soul,” but she is still afraid of trying a few things. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times,  she admitted she has turned down many prominent MCs, including hip-hop star Jay-Z, who wanted to do a collaboration. “I’m too scared,” she says. “They’ll find me out. It’s like ‘The Wizard of Oz.”  She continued: “They’ll find out there’s nothing there. As for collaborations, I’m collaborating with the band and we do what we do. I see myself as a member of this band who does these songs that we write.”
