Rosario Dawson‘s cousin has died after the actress found her unresponsive, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The actress walked downstairs in her Venice home on Thursday where she discovered her 26-year-old cousin Vanez Ines Vasquez unconscious, TMZ reports.
Dawson reportedly called the paramedics immediately, but they were unable to revive her on the scene. Vasquez was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
A toxicology report is still pending, but an early autopsy report purportedly indicates the death was likely due to natural causes. According to TMZ, Vasquez had been suffering from migraines and hypertension.
Vasquez was working for Dawson at the time of her death.
Vasquez’s mother, Lisa Centeno paid tribute to her daughter on Facebook.
“Vaneza, my sweet, sweet beautiful baby – your passing has left me destroyed forever but I know you are at peace in Paradise. I love you, my alpha child,” she wrote.
