Lauryn Hill’s ex-boyfriend Rohan Marley says he plans to get more involved with their kids during Hill’s upcoming three-month prison sentence.
The famed musician told TMZ, “I will be there for my kids… I will be there even more while she is dealing with this… to make sure that everything is fine.”
Marley and Hill have five kids together and dated for 13 years before calling it quits in 2009. Hill gave birth to baby number six in July 2011.
Sources claim the children will be staying with relatives during Hill’s incarceration. Although it’s unclear where Hill will serve her time, she must turn herself in by July 8.
After spending three months behind bars, Hill must spend another three months on house arrest, in addition to having nine months of supervised release.
Just before her sentencing, Hill paid a whopping $970,000 in back taxes and penalties to the government. In 2012, Hill pled guilty to tax evasion on an estimated $1 million in income earned in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
