Maybe Rihanna will drop new music if we all agree to register to vote before our individual deadlines.
She didn’t say anything like that, but hey, I’m sure it can’t hurt. And if looking forward to new Rihanna music isn’t enough, just think about your own values and where you want this country to be in the next 10 to 50 years, especially after witnessing the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Everything is connected, my friends.
The singer-turned-make-up lady tweeted out a simple message to the Navy, including a chart listing the last day to register to vote in every state (and the District of Columbia).
In a screenshot of her message from Instagram, she also reminded everyone in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Texas that TODAY (Oct 9.) is their last day to register.
“I don’t care what responsibilities you have today. There’s no greater responsibility than being in control of your future and it starts NOW!!,” the Bad Gal tweeted out.
GOOD MORNING AMERICA☀️I don’t care what responsibilities you have today. There’s no greater responsibility than being in control of your future and it starts NOW!! And don’t forget to double and triple check your voter status. I know for me personally, even without Rih’s warning I’ve been checking my voter status like clockwork every week just to make sure (what can I say, I’m paranoid and it’s my first time voting in a new state.)
So do yourself a favor, go to your local board of elections, or Vote.org, and register to vote, or check your status…ESPECIALLY if you are in Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi (if you are registering by mail, the deadline in person has already passed), New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Hawaii, Illinois (in person), Louisiana (in person or via mail) and Nevada (if registering by mail).Share :
