- The company responsible for putting together the funeral for Rihanna’s grandmother has issued a lawsuit against the Barbadian starlet. Rihanna’s grandmother, Clara Brathwaite, passed away in June, 2012 and the singer held a lavish party to celebrate her grandmother’s life, which featured tents, multi-media big screens and large exotic floral arrangements that came at a price of over $150,000. The funeral company says Rihanna only paid a quarter of the total amount owed and refuses to dish out any more cash. The lawsuit claims Rihanna believes the amount is unreasonably high and therefore refuses to pay the remainder of the money. [TMZ]
- After Usher’s 5-year-old son Usher Raymond V almost drown in his pool Tuesday, the singer has been silent about the accident until now. “I am blessed and fortunate to say that my son Usher V is doing well and is recovering,” Raymond said in a statement.”I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of prayers, love and support for my family’s well-being. I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock,” he continued. “I would especially like to thank the two men who saved my son’s life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews. They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them.” Usher V is currently in stable condition at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite where doctors continue to run tests on him. The incident occurred when the boy’s arm got stuck in a pool drain while trying to grab a toy underwater. After his aunt and a housekeeper failed to free him from the drain, contractors working in the home were able to rescue the young boy and perform CPR on him. The child’s mother, Tameka Foster, filed for an emergency court hearing Tuesday asking that she be granted temporary custody of she and Usher’s two sons who she believes are being endangered. [E!
