The CIA investigation that recently confirmed widespread suspicions of Russia hacking the 2016 presidential election has both Republicans and Democrats demanding answers.

With the CIA findings concluding that Russia interfered with the election to sway the results in Donald Trump’s favor, Trump himself is, of course, calling the factual report false. However, despite Trump’s efforts to shift the public’s focus away from the CIA’s very troubling revelation, his GOP cohorts are alarmed and calling for action.

Echoing requests from top Democrats who are adamantly insisting that further investigation into the matter become priority, Senate Republicans John McCain and Lindsey Graham are also seeking a bipartisan effort to get the job done.

Specifically, McCain expressed concern with Trump praising ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson, who has a long-running history of business ties with Moscow and is currently the leading contender to head up the State Department under Trump.

“It’s a matter of concern to me that he has such a close personal relationship with Vladimir Putin,” McCain said of Tillerson during a recent appearance on CBS’ ‘Face The Nation’ segment. “Obviously they’ve done enormous deals together. That would color his approach to Vladimir Putin and the Russian threat.”

President Obama has since ordered a ‘full review’ of the CIA’s confirmed Russian hacking activity and its effects on the 2016 election outcome, which he requested be completed and submitted to him before he leaves office.
