The NFL season is barely underway, but the league is working to make the 2013 Super Bowl its best show ever.
According to an AP source, the NFL is expected to announce that Beyoncé will perform at their halftime show on Sunday February, 3, 2013. This year’s showdown will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome (also home of the ESSENCE Music Festival) in New Orleans.
Beyoncé has only performed at the Super Bowl only once in her career. In 2004, she sang the National Anthem for her hometown of Houston, Texas.
The “Love on Top” singer’s performance will have to be as grand and dazzling as Madonna’s was this year for one reason: ratings. The 2012 Super Bowl halftime show had 114 million people around the globe watching, 3 million more than the game’s ratings.

What songs do you think Beyoncé should perform? Should she invite the other Destiny’s Child band members to join her?
