It appears Lil’ Kim’s diva-like attitude got her slapped with a lawsuit for $2.5 million by the owners of upstart record label Brookland Media, according to the Associated Press. The record company is saying that the provocative rap star tried to back out of a contract after they paid Atlantic Records $200,000 for her release from her previous contract. In fact, the suit claims Kim has made “outlandish” post-contract demands of the label, which include securing Akon and Wyclef Jean as producers for her album, reports MTV.com. A judge has responded to the suit and is ordering (at least temporarily) the rapper to cease all recording of any new material.
