They say what you do in the dark eventually comes to light and it seems to be shining all over Representative Charles Rangel. The House ethics committee has decided there is enough evidence to investigate whether or not Rangel is guilty of failing to pay his back taxes and misusing Congressional resources for fund-raising.

A special subcommittee was formed to peel apart the allegations swarming around Rangel. Four members of the panel will look into separate claims against the influential congressman who supposedly used official congressional stationary to send letters from 2005 through 2007 to potential donors, mishandled rent-controlled apartments and failed to pay taxes on $75,000 income.

Despite what critics may claim, Rangel still has denied any wrongdoings.
