Exhibit: “Undercover: Performing and Transforming Black Female Identities” is showing at the Spelman College’s Museum of Fine Art. This compelling exhibition explores the tradition of Black women artists disguising themselves and other artists transforming their image into that of African American women. This multimedia show hosts the works of artists such as Lorna Simpson, Renee Cox, Kalup Linzy and Lyle Ashton Harris. “Undercover” is on display until December 5, 2009 on the Spelman College campus in Atlanta, GA. Film: The flavor, fever and fun of Blaxplotation are relived with “Black Dynamite.” Starring Jai Michael White (who also wrote the screenplay), Tommy Davidson, Arsenio Hall and others, “Dynamite” is a comedy and action flick that will make you laugh and talk back to the screen. “Black Dynamite” opens in limited release today.
