Getting your Trinity Audio player ready…

Making the decision to grow locs and give up my relaxer was no easy endeavor. While I have greatly enjoyed making the transition to natural hair, contrary to popular belief, maintaining my locs is no less of a struggle than setting the monthly appointment for a touch-up. Upon the inception of my natural journey, I was convinced that sleek slick backs were a thing of the past, but thanks to Glass Air Gel ($25), I get to have smooth edges that are able to withstand drizzling rain and even a strenuous, sweaty workout session.

Glass Air Gel is a product similar to many others on the market in that it is a residue-free pomade that smoothes frizz without stripping moisture. What sets Glass Air Gel apart, however, is that it works on wet or dry hair and leaves it with a glassy sheen sans any white, waxy residue. The alcohol-free formula doesn’t necessarily glue my hair to my head like those hard brown gels of yesteryear would, but it did give my edges a soft, flexible hold and made my hair appear effortlessly smooth. While its $25 price point may be a bit high, I can assure you that Glass Air Gel will deliver A+ results without fail.
