Prisoners: How Detroit Inmates Are Being Active Parents

With the startling statistic that one in 14 Black children have a parent who is incarcerated, males inmates in Detroit are finding ways to be active dads, according to the Detroit Free Press. Fifty prisoners, most of them in for life, started a 16-week Parenting from Prison program to empower prisoners to be good parents behind bars and recently celebrated their completion of the course. –CJ
