President Barack Obama’s sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, a teacher in Hawaii, has just received her first book deal, according to Politico.com. The book, “Ladder to the Moon” is said to be inspired by their mother, Stanley Ann Dunham and her tradition of storytelling as well as by Soetoro-Ng’s four-year old daughter. The book references Dunham’s commitment to community service and passing that trait from one generation to another. Illustrator and publication date have yet to be determined.
