President Barack Obama is sending 17,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan (that would have otherwise gone to Iraq) in order to stabilize an already violent insurgent response in the area, according Reuters. In his first major military decision, President Obama is focusing his attention on Afghanistan as promised in his presidential campaign.
