President Barack Obama welcomed NCAA men’s basketball champions, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, to the White House on Monday to congratulate the team on its big win. You might remember back in March the President had a lot riding on the Heels—he picked them to win it all in his tournament bracket, and they did.
“Congratulations on bringing Carolina its fifth national championship,” the President Obama said, adding, “And more importantly, thanks for salvaging my bracket- and vindicating me before the entire nation. That first round was rough on me.”—ZH
