
President Obama will announce Monday a series of measures designed to make it easier for former prisoners to integrate back into society.
According to the Huffington Post, the order will require federal employers to delay collecting information about a job applicant’s criminal history until later into the application process.

The new policy proposals will be unveiled at an event on Newark, New Jersey today. Obama will appear with the city’s mayor, Ras Baraka (D), as well as Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), and visit a residential facility for people recovering from substance abuse. He will also participate in a roundtable on criminal justice reform at the Newark campus of Rutgers University.
