Oprah Donates $1.5 MIllion To Ron Clark Academy

We'll let President Obama and the First Lady quabble about who's the best gifter of the two. In our eyes Oprah is the gifter-in-chief. The queen philanthropist has donated $1.5 million to the Ron Clark Academy in inner-city Atlanta to go towards it's operating budget for a campus expansion. "I hope my gift will inspire others to join in to support RCA, a place that's not only uplifting students but also training teachers across the globe how to do the same for their students," she said in a written statement. Oprah donated $360,000 to the school this time last year.
