In a 332-95 vote, House Democrats overwhelmingly joined House Republicans in voting to reject Rep. Al Green’s (D-Texas) articles of impeachment against Donald Trump, the current racist president of the United States, who has not only been accused of rape, potentially treason, but also using his Twitter account to tell Progressive Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), four BIPOC freshman congresswomen, to “go back” to where they come.

….and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how….

….it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

The House had three options: table the articles of impeachment, refer them to the House Judiciary Committee, or allow the vote to proceed as is.

Of the 85 Democrats publicly calling for an impeachment inquiry, 14 joined with Republicans to defeat Green’s impeachment resolution, with a total of 137 Democrats voting with the GOP, CNN reports.

Rep. Green twice previously introduced similar “privileged resolutions,” which allows any member of congress to force an impeachment vote, while Republicans were control, but Pelosi—the queen of being stern with words and soft on action—had been able to avoid facing the issue head on in the Democrat controlled House.

“With all the respect in the world for [Green], we have six committees that are working on following the facts in terms of any abuse of power, obstruction of justice and the rest that the President may have engaged in,” Pelosi said. “That is the serious path that we are on, not that Mr. Green is not serious, but we’ll deal with that on the floor.”

Trump acknowledged the House for rejecting Green’s articles of impeachment, saying: “I just heard that the US House of Representatives has overwhelmingly voted to kill the most ridiculous project I have ever been involved in. The resolution—how stupid is that—on impeachment.”

This story will be updated when Pelosi reveals more details of her “serious path” to impeaching Trump.
