The Democratic presidential candidate is reportedly feeling much better after Sunday's incident, but she has been instructed to take some time to rest and recuperate.
Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton had a health incident over the weekend while visiting the 9/11 memorial site and it appears she’s come down with pneumonia.
Shortly after unconfirmed speculation began about the former Secretary of State fainting during her visit to memorial site, a video surfaced that appeared to show Clinton struggling to walk and being helped to her van while leaving the event on Sunday afternoon.
Her doctor, Dr. Lisa Bardack, confirmed in a statement that the 68-year-old politician felt “overheated” while at Ground Zero and retreated to her daughter Chelsea’s NYC apartment shortly after.
A second video taken on Sunday shows the presidential hopeful leaving her daughter’s apartment and reassuring nearby supporters that she’s ok after the health scare.
She even stops to take a photo with a little girl and is heard telling a reporter that she’s on the mend.
While an initial campaign statement said Clinton was feeling “much better” after recovering at her daughter’s home on Sunday, a Monday morning report from Reuters revealed that Clinton has canceled an upcoming appearance in California after being diagnosed with pneumonia.
Dr. Bardack also told CNN that Secretary Clinton was “put on antibiotics” and advised “to modify her schedule” following the incident.
