PHOTOS: National Moment of Silence in Honor of Michael Brown

To honor the life of 18-year-old Michael Brown, cities in 30 states held national moments of silence on Thursday, August 14. Feminista Jones spread the word on social media, and states immediately signed on to host vigils in support. Using #NMOS14, people live tweeted their local demonstrations, and shared powerful images of the peaceful protests in their community. Here’s a look back at vigils that honored Michael Brown’s life.
