Two sisters are the brains behind the two-year-old mobile storefront Fashion in the City.
Joy Mallory was an LPN and the youngest of 10 siblings. When she decided to quit her career in health, she opted for retail therapy instead.
“I was working in the health field,” Joy told
CBS Philly. “I reached a point where I just didn’t want to do it anymore. I got burned out, started brainstorming on other things that interested me as a kid. Fashion was just one of those things that kept making it to the forefront.”

One sister gave her the idea for the fashion truck and she started the business with another, Ramona Mallory.
Fashion in the City stocks the latest trends like suede and matching separates, all priced under $100. Sizes run up to 3X and there is even a dressing room for shoppers to try on pieces.
The business has been a success, but the innovative duo isn’t stopping at their closet on wheels. Next they plan to launch an app so customers can find them wherever they are.
