The family of Esmin Green has settled a wrongful-death lawsuit against New York City after she died on the floor in Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, according to MSNBC.com. They will receive $2 million for her death. Green, a 49-year old psychiatric patient, was in the waiting room area for almost 24-hours when she collapsed on June 19, 2008. She was left on the floor for hours as hospital staff and visitors simply ignored her lifeless body. There is video of two security guards looking at her briefly and then walking away. Six hospital employees lost their jobs as a result of the case as the video spurned national headlines.-WLW
