Relationships are hard work and require lots of trust and understanding. And perhaps no one knows it better than current hot couple Paula Patton and Robin Thicke.
Together, they’re blazing the movie screens and the charts. When People asked Patton how she felt about her husband’s scandalous new video “Blurred Lines,” which features a bevy of topless models parading around, she was completely understanding.
“It’s part of the job and part of the deal,” said Patton. “We both know this is what we’ve’ been working so hard for and for these moments. Of course, it’s a little bit uncomfortable. It’s somebody who you love and you have to share them in that moment, but we understand it’s not real. We love each other and have complete trust.”
The couple once again put that trust to test when Thicke joined his wife for the 2 Guns premiere, in which she shares a nude love scene with Denzel Washington. “He wasn’t covering his eyes, and was like, ‘I want to see everything!'” said Patton. “He’s very supportive, and I’m the same way with him. We’ve been together since high school, and we know each other’s dreams.”
She revealed that their marriage is in part successful because they inspire each other. “If I’m working really hard and training, he’s hitting the gym with me harder. We are competitive with each other in a weird and cute way, but we are always there for each other and proud no matter what.”
