2014 is off to a brillant start for Pat McGrath. The legendary makeup artist and creative director for Procter & Gamble Beauty was named an MBE, or Member of the Order of the British Empire, for her work in the fashion and beauty industry. If you’ve ever flipped through a magazine and fallen in love with the makeup—odds are McGrath was behind it. The UK native is the creative force behind many an innovative fashion week look. She helped launch i-D magazine into prominence in the 90s and has partnered with fashion luminaries like Jil Sander, photographer Steven Meisel, and John Galliano. Congratulations, Ms. McGrath!
