Paris, the daughter of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, sat down for a rare interview with Oprah Winfrey on last night’s episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter and said she’s not bothered by it all. “People have tried, but it doesn’t always work… at school and some people try to cyberbully me. They try to get to me with words, but that doesn’t really work,” she revealed. The eldest Jackson also admitted she doesn’t quite understand why she’s the target of bullies either.
Above all, Paris says she chooses her friends carefully and immediately gets rid of any disingenuous people. “If I feel someone is being fake to me, I’ll just push them away.”
As for living without her father, Paris says it “never gets easier.” The young actress, who’s set to star in her first feature film Lundon Bridge and the Three Keys, understands why her father famously shielded their faces as kids. “I was really confused: I didn’t get why I was wearing a mask, but I understand it now, why my dad would want our faces covered. When went out without him, we wouldn’t be recognized… He wanted us to have a normal childhood.”
