Pam Grier is looking to turn her life story into a movie, reports EURweb.
The Black Women in Hollywood honoree is said to be working with Imprint Entertainment to create a biopic based off her 2010 autobiography, Fox: My Life in Three Acts.
Michael Becker of Imprint Entertainment said, “Foxy succeeds at a stark impression of Grier’s courage and inner strength without the use of rose-colored glasses. Imprint Entertainment looks forward to bringing this triumphant story to life.”
Thus far, TV producer and screenwriter, Eunetta Boone, has signed up to write the screenplay. And as for who should play Grier? She reportedly wants Halle Berry.
But we asked fans on Facebook who should take on the role and over 1,000 of you replied with your picks. “LisaRay McCoy, she is sassy, smart and beautiful,” wrote Derricka Thomas. “Gabrielle Union or Lauren London,” Pamela Lassiter chimed in.
However, Beyoncé and Taraji P. Henson stole the show. Their names overwhelmingly dominated the conversation as most fans picked them as their top choices.
Who do you think has the acting chops to play Pam Grier?
