With this year’s presidential race now just a week away from being decided, some are already looking ahead to 2012, with GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin possibly running for president.
“She has absolutely earned a right to run in 2012,” says Greg Mueller, who was a senior aide in the presidential campaigns of Pat Buchanan and Steve Forbes. Palin has given conservatives “hope” and “something to believe in,” according to Mueller.
