David Zaslav, Discovery channel president, CEO, and Oprah Winfrey’s business partner in her newly developed Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), told the Chicago Tribune he expects the talk-show host to retire her nationally syndicated Chicago-based TV show in 2011. Lisa Halliday, chief spokeswoman for Winfrey’s Harpo Productions, told the Chicago Tribune that the comments were premature.
