Nicki Minaj Fined for Swearing and Explicit Dance Moves

It looks like Nicki Minaj should have kept it PG during a recent concert performance in Jamaica. The rapper’s rowdy bad-mouthing and explicit dance moves have apparently landed her a case in court, the UK’s the Guardian reports.

After a profanity-laced performance at Montego Bay’s Reggae Sumfest, Jamaican police told Minaj she had violated the Towns and Communities Act which penalizes “obscenity in a public place”.

She was issued a court summons for 28 July but never showed up. She instead opted to pay a $1,000 fine (in Jamaican dollars) after her lawyer submitted a guilty plea on her behalf.

Speaking about the gig on Twitter, Minaj happily told fans: “I had the time of my life at Reggae Sumfest… Jamaica I fell in love tonight.”

The profanity stint marked her first tour stop ever in Jamaica.  What do you think of Minaj’s performance — should she have been fined for swearing?
