According to a recent analysis of eHarmony’s Compatibility Matching System, opposites attracting and lasting are two very different things.
Although opposites are initially attracted to the mystery, intrigue and overall difference of each other, over time, their differences cause frustration and animosity, the study revealed.
The study, which surveyed thousands of couples, looked at the patterns that made their relationship successful and found that opposites who intially are attracted to each other will eventually repeal one another.
An excerpt from the analysis reads, “While two dominants may occasionally clash, they’ll do so as equals and ultimately the relationship will be healthier.”
Hmm…
The results suggest that the best bet for singles is to seek out compatibility and similar traits in a potential mate rathet than someone who’s their opposite in every way. Which type of relationship has worked best for you?
