The latest round of network “Upfront” events are underway and this week, Fox revealed a fall lineup filled with programming starring some of our favorite faces in Black Hollywood. With shows like “Empire” and “Rosewood” already seeing a steady stream of success for the network, a handful of new shows featuring African-American actors and actresses in lead roles are sure to follow suit.

‘Rosewood’ Renewed For Season 2

Straight Outta Compton star Corey Hawkins will lead the reboot of Fox’s highly successful drama series “24.” Hawkins will play a former Army Ranger navigating the United States on a mission to stop a terrorist attack.

On the movie side of things, “Orange Is The New Black” favorite Laverne Cox will head up a star-studded cast in the Fox remake of the 1975 classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Cox will take on the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a quirky scientist who is hosting a convention to unveil the birth of Rocky Horror.

Veteran comedic actor Damon Wayans will also join the line up of new Fox programming with a starring role in the remake of “Lethal Weapon,” where he will take on the role of Danny Glover’s former character Roger Murtaugh.

These shows are just three in a jam-packed fall schedule that also includes “Shots Fired” starring Sanaa Lathan, “Star” starring Queen Latifah and “Pitch” starring newcomer Kylie Bunbury. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is slated to premiere this October, while exact launch dates for “24: Legacy” and “Lethal Weapon” have yet to be revealed.
