Luke Cage fans can breathe easy, the Netflix hit has been renewed for a second season.
The announcement was made over the weekend with a short video featuring Cage’s employer Pop’s Barber Shop featuring a sign in the window that read, “Season 2 coming soon.” It’s accompanied by Pop’s motto, “Always forward.”

This is the third Marvel show to get a second season on the beloved streaming service. The comic empire also airs Daredevil and Jessica Joneson the platform, both of which were renewed for a second season.

Luke Cage follows a former convict with unbreakable skin and superhuman strength as he rebuilds his life in Harlem, while confronting his past and cleaning up the streets. The first season featured an all-star cast including Mike Coulter, Mahershala Ali, Rosario Dawson, and Alfre Woodard.
With a new season expected and so many loose threads left over from season one, we anticipate tons of drama and some new faces.
