Ne-Yo is telling it like it is when it comes to R&B. The singer recently said the genre cranks out too many party tunes and needs to make a real comeback.
” I feel like there’s more to music than just dancing,” Ne-Yold told VH1 of his upcoming album, “Love and Passion”. “There definitely will be dance songs on this album but I feel like R&B needs to make a comeback… When was the last time you heard a ballad on the radio?”
He said his new album will be much more relationship-focused. “It’s going to be an album for love. Real music. Music that makes you feel more than just an overwhelming desire to dance.”
