It’s not often that we find rare interviews on Black history collected in one moving film, but the Black Power Mixtape does just that.
Produced by a Swedish television group, the documentary showcases historical footage investigating U.S. Black culture and the Civil Rights movement between 1967-1975. Throughout the film, Black scholars, hip-hop artists, and historians share their stories and perspectives on the climatic time in history.

One of the more stirring moments in the film features a young Angela Davis speaking to a Swedish interviewer while in jail about non-violence. Check out the clip above and let us know what you think!
