This week, comedienne Sheryl Underwood made her first appearance as a new co-host on CBS’ daytime talk show, “The Talk.” (She replaces Holly Robinson Peete, whose contract was not renewed.)

Her first show proved to be a memorable one when she opened up about losing her husband to suicide and how she coped. The discussion began when the women debated how Bravo handled Russell Armstrong’s suicide on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and Sheryl was asked to share her experience with suicide.

In true form, Sheryl kicked off her comments with a joke, telling the audience not to worry because she was acquitted of all charges “because she had a good lawyer.”

Have you ever lost someone to suicide? How did you cope? Watch Sheryl tell her story here in this clip.
