“Whew!” is all we can say about Jennifer Holliday and American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez’s epic performance on the show’s season finale last night. The two singers blew through a soulful performance of “And I Am Telling You,” made famous by Holliday when she sang it in the original Dreamgirls Broadway musical in 1981. Sadly, Sanchez did not walk away a winner, but judging from this performance, she’s got a long singing career ahead of her. Besides, anyone that can sang on the same level as Jennifer Holliday is a winner in our eyes.
