It’s been nearly four years since we’ve heard new music from R&B star Maxwell, but the wait is officially coming to an end!
The 2013 ESSENCE Festival performer released a one-minute clip of his new song “Gods” via SoundCloud yesterday. It’s lifted from his forthcoming album Summers’, the second installment of a three-part album series from the velvety-voiced singer. Since its release, fans have been tweeting with joy and excitment. “Folks are about to have babies to this new album [by] Maxwell, because ‘GODs’ is pretty serious,” tweeted Steve & Steven. “Man that sounds nice! Can’t wait for what’s in store,” shared iTreyRay.
