When South African designer David Tlale envisioned his 2015 collection, he imagined it would “give women back their power and equip them with a strong and confident sense of allure, without losing their essence and femininity.” To fully achieve this, David paired with Global Ambassador for Motions South-Africa Ursula Stephen to create a hairstyle inspired by African heritage.
Ironically, this partnership marks Motions first appearance in a New York Fashion Week show. “Motions Salon Hair Care has always had an intrinsic tie to style,” said Brian Dolan, Motions Salon Hair Care Brand Building Manager. “We chose to sponsor David Tlale’s show this season because he is an extraordinary designer creating clothes for confident, empowered woman—exactly the woman who Motions is designed for.”
