Hours before her performance in Minneapolis last night, Beyoncé received some pretty cool news from Governor Mark Dayton and Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith that Monday would no longer be the worst day of the week in Minnesota, but a day to celebrate Queen Bey.
Governor Dayton declared on Twitter that Monday May 23 would be Beyoncé Day.

“Beyoncé has influenced many young girls and women with powerful, positive messages in her songs and thousands of Minnesotans will gather at TCF Bank Stadium to hear Beyoncé perform. Now, therefore…I hearby proclaim Monday as Beyoncé day,” the proclamation stated.
Maybe the rest of the country should take a page from Minnesota’s book and make Beyoncé Day a national thing.
