The writer behind Remember the Titans, Gregory Allen Howard, has signed on for the task of adapting an upcoming biopic based on Misty Copeland’s best-selling biography Life In Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina.
Life In Motion follows Copeland’s journey to becoming the first African-American woman promoted to principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre.
However, this won’t be the first film about Copeland.
Director Nelson George released A Ballerina’s Tale in 2015, a documentary about Copeland’s journey to the top.
A release date has not been set for the film.
