Music is a universal language that has the ability to transform even the most basic of messages into a catchy tune that has everyone singing along. That’s exactly what this talented group of teens did to help spread the word about healthy eating to their peers.
The Appetite for Change Organization is described on its official Facebook page as “a tool to build health, wealth and social change in North Minneapolis.” Through a series of specifically designed programs and workshops on things like cooking, urban agriculture and food policy education, the group aims to provide training for local young people in urban communities that prepares them to pursue leadership-based careers in the food service and agriculture industries.

As part of its most recent efforts, several teen members of Appetite for Change came up with an infectious hip-hop song appropriately titled “Grow Food,” which hears the young people rap about the benefits of healthy eating and caution against consuming unhealthy food over a beat that’ll have you bobbing your head in no time.
