Designer To Watch

Emerging menswear designer Miguel Antoinne first captured the attention of the ESSENCE.com fashion team when he debuted his label with a private presentation for fall 2009 last February. For spring 2010, Antoinne pushed his creativity with a larger collection that was showcased on the runway at New York’s Studio 450.

Unique Fabrications

Innovative fabrics were selected for the collection like coated linen, which is cool enough to breeze through the summer heat, yet functional enough to withstand being caught in a windy storm.

Light & Dark

Bold prints were infused into the collection and added a layer of texture and volume which was directly inspired by the contrasting light and dark tones found in thunder and lightning.

What we find captivating about Antoinne’s designs is his ability to add surprise touches to classic men’s separates, such as blazers with insert lapels and adjusted cropped trousers that can go from long to short depending on the wears choice of style. With a collection inspired by thunder and lighting, Antoinne flashed his brilliancy yet again.
