President Barack Obama may have a silky smooth voice, but Michelle is the one with fabulous taste in music—if you ask us!
The First Lady opened up to People about what’s on her playlist, telling them she played Jill Scott’s “Golden” while driving her kids to school in the morning. “We would sing it together,” she relays.
When Mrs. Obama gets the jitters and needs to relax a bit, she puts on “Bravo” by Ledisi. “I used to listen to it in the car before campaign rallies because it both calmed me and helped me focus.”
She also admits she listens to Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair” when working out and that her favorite Grammy nominated song is “Stronger,” by Kelly Clarkson. She feels it’s an empowering song with a positive message.
However, she wouldn’t reveal what song she sings in the shower. But she says her husband, the winner of two Grammy awards, is the “real singer in the family.”
