'Melrose's' Jessica Lucas Gets a Mane Makeover

As fans of the original "Melrose Place," we couldn't help but watch a couple episodes of the updated version. The show is still finding its footing, but we have a feeling that gorgeous co-star Jessica Lucas is poised to be a major star. On "Melrose," the biracial Canadian plays good girl teacher Riley Richmond. But at a recent photo shoot, LA hairstylist Bertrand vamped up her image by giving her strands a fierce, wild child makeover. Here, he breaks down how to get the look. "I began by spritzing her damp hair with David Babbai's Wildaid Bohemian Beach ($9.95) to give it texture and windblown pieciness. Next, I created a little bun at the nape of her neck and let it dry, for a bouncy, loose wave. After unwrapping the bun, I added volume by putting some Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo ($20) in my hands and rubbing it into the roots. I repeated this all around her head, and then brushed out some pieces while leaving others more wild."
