Always on top of her game, Mary J. Blige is back in the studio making music. In an interview with MTV News, Blige shared that she is working on a new album which will sound like “‘My Life’ 2011.” “”[It will be] more like What’s the 411?, and My Life 2011. It’s headed [in] that direction but in a new way. Not what it used to be,” said the nine-time Grammy winner. She’ll be teaming up with super-producer Swizz Beats to create a sound similar to both albums. If fans are expecting to do a little two-stepping in the club, Blige reveals that the follow-up to 2009’s “Stronger With Each Tear,” may come with some club tunes. “Right now, it’s going in the Mary direction, which is R&B and hip-hop and soul…If it goes into the club direction, it will probably be more soulful than futuristic.” In the meantime, Blige will be globetrotting around on a tour this fall with songtress Jazmine Sullivan and Miguel. The concert kicks off October 2 in Mobile, Alabama.
